Suicide and Crisis Lifeline: Call 988 In English and Spanish 24/7
If you want to give up, seek help and tell someone safe as soon as possible! Call the Suicide Prevention Line (Call 988 or Text 988) to help you. It is a FREE service and helpful. I called at least twice over the years and have no shame about it. And the call helped a lot. A trained crisis counselor listens, offers support and helps navigate feelings and thoughts. This can change the course of your emotions and truly help. It did this for me. It is confidential. The person does not personally know you and this can help you feel heard and protected and cared about without the interpersonal ongoing implications of sharing your heart.
When you call 988 you will get a greeting message and then a kind person to pick up to support and help you. A person will actively be with you in that moment to help you find what you need in that moment: do you need someone to be like a friend to talk to, or someone to sit with you in the feelings you are having or the chaos you are experiencing or do you some kind of services that can help. They are willing to help get you help you might need. This call can help you figure out what to do from the point you are at. This is a place you can go—to call anytime day or night 24/7! It is staffed by trained specialists. Again it is free and confidential.
