Why does God care about changing our lives by taking our blame, our sin, our worst moments and making them count for something good?
Because GOD VALUES US, GOD LOVES US, GOD CARES ABOUT US and GOD WANTS THE VERY BEST FOR US!
A quote from Billy Graham put it this way: “Jesus said that your soul is worth more than the rest of the world put together. Why is your soul so valuable? First, the value of your soul is measured by its eternal quality. It will never die…Your soul-your spirit–will live forever. Second, the value of your soul is measured by the devil’s interest in it. Jesus said the devil is the prince of this world. He is the god of this age. The devil is greatly at work in our world, and he is after your soul. Third, the value of your soul is measured by God’s concern for saving your soul. Fourth, the value of your soul is measured by the severity of its loss. Fifth, the value of your soul is measured by the price paid for its redemption (the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot 1 Peter 1:18-19).”
Revelation 5 in CSB tells us three times (verses 6,9 and 12) Jesus Christ was slaughtered for us! Christ is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. John 1:29-31. Matthew 1:21 tells us Jesus was named Jesus for He would save us from our sins! Our God, our Creator, died on the cross as a sacrifice The Father accepted for the forgiveness of our sins! John 3:16-17,
1 John 2:2; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16.
There is so much at stake! Your very soul and its eternal destiny!
Our only hope is our Creator God. Not limited hope but great hope, because God is infinite and He is LOVE. (Ephesians 3:8, 1 John 4:8). His blood purchased our souls at the cost of His death! Without God we have no eternal hope because Christ said He is the Way the Truth and the Life, no man comes to the Father but by Him (John 14:6). With God all hope is unleashed, because we gain the incalculable riches of Christ (Ephesians 3:8b). Let us not discount the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16) for any who will believe. Our souls are valuable, and Christ paid the most valuable price: His very life! 1 Co 6:20: …you were bought at a price…the price was incalculable! God loved you so much He sent His son to be the atoning sacrifice to save His people from their sins!
John 3:16-17 New Living Translation: “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
1 John 4:10 New Living Translation: This is real love–not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
Matthew 1:21 New Living Translation: And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
